As I awoke this morning from uneasy dreams, I found myself on a new planet. The humming in my head continued, but not as intensely as the day before. The "day" before...? They said it would take three to eight ekalon waves to arrive at "Earth." How many "Sun" cycles was that again? Not to bother, I'll do the calculations later.
Before I left, they warned me of the towering creatures that were said to inhabit Earth. However, I had no idea as to their sheer size. Standing about sixty glats high, the nomee (or "humans," as they refer to themselves) are vertical structures comprised of a mineral-based frame. Insulated by some sort of blubber, they are contained by a sack of porous rubber with small, bendy spikes coming out of it.
Some areas have more spikes than others. Cascading down from their sensing-spheres located at their highest points, groups of these sharp fibers are formed into different shapes and colors. Sunken in about half-way down the front of these spheres ("hedds" I think one nomee said) are slimy white orbs. The black hole in the middle -- surrounded by a ring of color -- offers direct access to their central controller. Around these orbs are two pieces of moist fabric that swipe across them in regular intervals. About 32% of these creatures smear a black liquid onto the small spikes that point out directly from the orbular protectors.
That is all for today. I shall input my data now before Earth turns its back on the Sun. The cycles here are very fast.
